INTRODUCTION
Gaza’s Ministry of Health said May was the deadliest month of the year and by June, the post-ceasefire death toll past 970. Israel also extended their ever-widening ‘buffer zone’ in Gaza, called the “Yellow Line,” and demolished homes, destroyed livelihoods and killed displaced families in air strikes.
In the last three months the Israeli occupation continues its ethnic cleansing campaign across the West Bank. This includes relentlessly persecuting Palestinians farming families in the rural hamlets and villages in order to seize their homes and ancestral lands. Whilst it is the Israeli settlers backed by the Israeli military who carry out the violent attacks, raids and demolitions, they are actively facilitated by an Israeli government that publicly boasts of its intention to annex Palestinian land.
JORDAN VALLEY
Settler Violence and Military Collusion Continue in Khirbet Samra and Ein Al Hilwe
On May 7, 2026, Israeli settlers attacked and injured five Palestinians in Khirbet Samra. Rather than pursuing the settlers responsible, Israeli forces detained the Palestinians who had just been attacked, including teenagers and parents from the affected families. In Ein Al Hilwe, Israeli forces demolished another home on May 20, and prevented the Palestinian Red Crescent from delivering emergency tents to the newly displaced family. Israeli authorities went on to threaten the remaining families in the area with further home demolitions. Read more on this incident here: ISM. Months-Long Campaign of Harassment Persists in Ein Al Duyuk
Throughout April and May, Israeli settlers and soldiers carried out a sustained campaign of harassment and violence against the residents of Ein Al Duyuk, storming the village seven times in a single month as part of the broader effort to displace Palestinians from the area. Settlers and Military Collaborate to Cut Off Family’s Land Access in Khirbet Humsa
On May 29, settlers set fire to a field near a Palestinian family’s home in Khirbet Humsa. The same settlers called the Israeli military and police on the family, who arrived and informed the family they were no longer permitted to access their own land. Settlers spent hours walking the property and shouting at the family, in a clear demonstration of the coordination between settlers and Israeli military forces in the campaign to displace Palestinians from the Jordan Valley. Settlers Celebrate on Land of the Displaced in Hammamat Al Maleh, Continue Seizing Property
On April 6, Israeli settlers celebrated Passover directly next to the homes of Palestinians they had previously forcibly displaced in Hammamat Al Maleh. See our reel: ISM Instagram
Weeks later, on April 21, settlers destroyed a school and took over a family home in Al Maleh, further entrenching the settler presence on land from which Palestinian families have already been driven. See more here: ISM Instagram
Palestinian Killed in Settler Attack on Al Aqaba and Tayaseer
On April 8, Israeli settlers attacked the communities of Al Aqaba and Tayaseer, killing a Palestinian. See more here: ISM Instagram
Shepherd Detained by Israeli Forces on the Way to Sell Family’s Cheese
On April 10, 18-year-old Hussein Bsharat, a shepherd from Al Makhul, was arrested by the Israeli army while on his way to sell cheese from his family’s farm. At the time of writing, he remains imprisoned. Read more on this incident here: Instagram
Settlers Burn Land in Al Farisya
On May 29, settlers set fire to land including two farms in Al Farisya. See more in our reel: ISM Instagram
Family Displaced Once Faces Renewed Threat from Israel’s New “Crimson Thread” Apartheid Wall
A family previously displaced from Samra to Atouf in June 2025 is now facing the threat of displacement once again, this time due to “Crimson Thread,” Israel’s newest apartheid wall project. Israeli military forces have been frequently spotted on the family’s land and have already confiscated 36 dunums (approximately 9 acres) of their property. Read more on this incident here: ISM

International Activists Attacked While Defending Palestinian Shepherd in Jawayya
On April 7, 2026, settlers attacked a Palestinian shepherd and the international activists accompanying them in Jawayya. Settlers ran at the activists with a metal rod, choking one and stealing their phone, while another settler armed with an assault rifle chased down and robbed the second activist. Um Al Khair Children Protest Road Blockade Amid Escalating Ethnic Cleansing Campaign
From April 12 to 16, children in Um Al Khair held a protest against the Israeli blockade of the only road leading to their school, part of the intensifying campaign of ethnic cleansing in the area. See more here: ISM Instagram
On May 9, settlers harassed children on a football field in Um Al Khair. See more here: ISM Instagram
Weeks later, on May 26, settlers tore down a fence in Um Al Khair, attacked Palestinians, and threw a stun grenade at them. See more here: Instagram
Settlers Attempt to Steal Livestock from Family in Um Durit
On May 13, 15 to 20 settlers pepper sprayed and threw stones at a Palestinian family in Um Durit in an attempt to steal their sheep and donkey. See more here: ISM Instagram
Wadi Rakim Suffers Repeated Settler Violence Over Weeks
On May 20, settlers set fire to a family home in Wadi Rakim; the family’s baby was hospitalized due to smoke inhalation. See more here: ISM Instagram
Two days later, on May 22, settlers destroyed crops in the area while driving ATVs. See more here: ISM Instagram

Carmel Outpost Expands on Site Where Settler Murdered Awda Hathaleen
On May 20, settlers dramatically expanded the Carmel outpost onto the site where Awda Hathaleen was murdered by a settler the previous year. See photos on our Instagram: ISM Instagram
Settlers Destroy Farmland in Al Faresh, Military Bars Palestinians from Their Own Land
On May 28, settlers destroyed farmland in Al Faresh. Israeli military forces then arrived and told the Palestinian owners they could no longer access their own land, without providing any official order forbidding them from doing so. See more here: ISM Instagram
Settlers Poison Water Well
On June 13, settlers left a dead goat in a Palestinian water well as a way of poisoning the water. See more here (warning: graphic): ISM Instagram
Soldiers Assist Settlers in Blocking Palestinian Land Access in Menzel
On June 14, settlers in Menzel, accompanied by Israeli soldiers, prevented Palestinians from accessing their own land while the settlers grazed their cattle on it. See more here: ISM Instagram
Soldiers Demolish Home in Dirat

Palestinians Hospitalized After Settler Attack in Khalat Hummous

AL-MUGHAYYIR
Ongoing Siege Against Al Mughayyir Continues with Assault on Abu Naim Family
On April 4, 2026, Israeli army assaulted members of the Abu Naim family and stole 3,500 shekels from them. This attack is part of a series of ongoing assaults against the family since other members of the Abu Naim family were forcibly expelled from nearby Al Khalayel in December. Settlers Kill 14-Year-Old and Human Rights Activist in School Attack
On April 21, settlers attacked a school in Al Mughayyir, killing a 14-year-old boy and a 32-year-old Palestinian man who was known in the community for his human rights activism. Read more on this incident here: ISM
Israeli Forces Raid Homes, Beat Father and Son
On May 21, Israeli army raided Al Mughayyir and stormed a family home, vandalizing the property and beating a father and son. See more here: ISM Instagram
Four days later, on May 25, Israeli forces raided additional family homes and arrested two 14-year-old boys, one of whom was the nephew of the man murdered by settlers in the school attack a month earlier. See more here:ISM Instagram
Settlers Seize Landfill and Burn Olive Trees, Village Council Worker Detained
On June 23, settlers seized a landfill and burned olive trees at the entrance of the village, while Israeli army detained a Palestinian man who was driving an excavator belonging to the Al Mughayyir village council. See more here: ISM Instagram
NABLUS & SURROUNDING AREA
Israeli Army Raid Kills Man Awaiting Birth of His Child, Injures Dozens More
On May 4, 2026, Israeli army raided a crowded market in Nablus and shot and killed 26-year-old Nayef Samaro, shooting him in the head as he waited outside a hospital for the birth of his child. Five additional people were injured by Israeli gunfire, and 40 required medical assistance after tear gas inhalation, with 10 of them hospitalized. See more here: ISM Instagram
Settlers and Israeli Army Attack Huwara, Injuring Residents and Destroying Property
On June 6, settlers and Israeli army attacked residents of Huwara, south of Nablus, and destroyed property throughout the town. Nine residents were injured, agricultural lands were burned, and 50 sheep were stolen. See more here: ISM Instagram
Family Forced from Home in Jurish After Settler Attack and Military Closure
On June 20, settlers attacked a family in Jurish, attempting to break into their home, but were blocked by solidarity activists. Israeli army then arrived, interrogated the Palestinian family, and declared the area a closed military zone for 24 hours, forcing the family to leave their home. See more here: ISM Instagram
RAMALLAH & SURROUNDING AREA
Months-Long Campaign of Violence in Deir Abu Mishal as Settlers Attempt New Outpost
Residents of Deir Abu Mishal have faced months of sustained attacks as settlers attempt to establish a new outpost in Area B. On June 11, Israeli army fired live rounds and tear gas at Palestinians in the village.
The following day, June 12, Israeli soldiers again fired live rounds, detained 10 Palestinians, and tear gassed the village after residents removed an Israeli flag that settlers had placed on Palestinian property — a tactic settlers use as a form of threat and intimidation. Later that same day, Israeli soldiers blocked Palestinians from attending Friday prayers, detained five international solidarity activists, and once again fired live ammunition and tear gas at Palestinian residents. Read more on this incident here: ISM; ISM Instagram
Settlers Establish New Outpost Near School in Bruqin
On May 14, settlers established a new outpost in Bruqin, 20km north of Ramallah, just 100 meters from a school and 50 meters from a Palestinian home. See more here: ISM Instagram

AL QUDS AREA
Israeli Forces Continue Home Demolitions Across Al Quds and Surrounding Areas
Israeli army continue their campaign of home demolitions throughout Al Quds and the surrounding areas, part of a broader effort to ethnically cleanse the region to make way for Jewish-only settlements. A resident of Silwan shared his family’s experience following a demolition in the Bustan neighborhood. See the interview here: ISM
THE MEANING OF AREAS A, B AND C
The places where ISM engages in solidarity presence are made up mostly of area C, which is under full Israeli control, with some parts B and A. Below is a map, made by OCHA and shared from Al Jazeera, which explains what these different areas mean. Each geographic region has a different ratio of Area C, e.g. Jordan Valley is 90% area C but 10% is area B and A.

CONCLUSION
As violence in the West Bank escalates to record levels, Palestinians are asking for international activists to join them in their struggle for freedom and justice.
The International Solidarity Movement is a Palestinian-led movement committed to resisting the long-entrenched systematic oppression and ongoing dispossession of the Palestinian people, using non-violent direct-action means. We show up as a solidarity presence with children going to school, farmers working their land, and families resisting the destruction of their homes. With our photos, videos and writing, we also document the daily reality under occupation and its numerous human rights abuses.
We work collaboratively, sharing decision-making power and a commitment to anti-oppression principles.
