Today a family in the village of Salim, southeast of Nablus, was prevented from harvesting their olives for a second time this year. All of their trees are located behind a settlers´ road leading to the illegal settlement of Elon More: a settlement which has stolen much of the village’s land.

Residents of Salim demonstrate against the occupation and its consequences on Palestinian villages

On Sunday about 90 demonstrators gathered in the village of Salim near Nablus to show support of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 and to protest the occupation and its consequences for Palestinian villages such as Salim. UNSC Resolution 1325 addresses the impact of conflict on girls and women, and calls for extra protection of women in conflict areas.

Israeli forces abduct youth in Nablus area

A 17 year old youth, Noaf Yasir Issa, from Salim village near Nablus was arrested Wednesday (4th February) night by Israeli occupation forces and transported to Huwarra military base where he is currently being detained. To date, his family has not been told of any charges against him. Noaf has never been previously arrested.
