Campaign to End the Occupation

Join the struggle for freedom

From December 15, 2001 through January 1, 2002, the International Solidarity Movement will be welcoming dozens of international civilians who will be coming to the Occupied Palestinian Territories to show their solidarity with the Palestinian people in their struggle for freedom and an end to Israeli military occupation.

Protesting the refusal of the international community to send monitors to the Occupied Palestinian Territories, foreign civilians will be taking it upon themselves to act in defense of Palestinian human rights.

The two-week campaign will highlight the brutal, repressive and lethal policies of the Israeli occupation as the root cause of the violence in the region. International activists will join Palestinian locals in non-violent direct-action resistance to the occupation. Actions will include marches, roadblock removals and crop harvesting and olive tree planting in villages devastated by Israeli settlers and military.

Please see the attached program schedule and join us in calling for an end to the cruel and inhumane politics of occupation. For more information, contact: Huwaida at 052-290-173 or the Palestinian Center for Rapprochement at 02-277-2018.

The International Solidarity Movement (ISM) is comprised of local Palestinian and foreign civilians working to raise awareness of the Palestinian plight for freedom and an end to Israeli military occupation. We call on Israel to immediately implement UN Resolutions and abide by international law. We urge the United Nations and our respective governments to take decisive action to ensure Israel’s compliance therewith.
