Resident of Ni’lin in critical condition after being shot in the head from close range by Israeli army
At approximately 3am this morning, the Israeli army shot a 40 year old resident of Ni’lin four times from close range while invading his house. He is now in a serious condition in Ramallah hospital.
Ayed Awad Srur, 40, was shot four times with rubber-coated steel bullets from extremely close range as Israeli soldiers entered his house looking to arrest his brother Akil Srur. One bullet was shot through his eye, another at his head causing large internal hemorrhaging. 2 other bullets were fired into his chest.

Pregnant woman tear-gassed in Ni’lin as Israeli army injures many
On Thursday 28th of August, at around 11am Israeli soldiers invaded the town of Ni’lin, occupying the clinic and shooting tear gas at children who were walking home from school.

This invoked a reaction from some Palestinian youth from within the town who began to throw rocks back at the soldiers. A 20 year old resident of Ni’lin is currently in Ramallah hospital with a a fractured skull after being beaten by Israeli soldiers at a demonstration in the village against the construction of the annexation wall on the 21st August.

The struggle against the apartheid wall continues in Ni’lin
On the 17th of August at 15:30 in the village of Ni’lin there was a demonstration of around 50 Palestinian together with 10 internationals and Israelis, organized by the Ni’lin Popular Committee Against the Illegal Apartheid Wall. The demonstration took place close to the site where the wall is being built by the Israel.

Seven injured as Israeli army attacks prayer demonstration in Ni’lin
Every Friday at 1pm the villagers from Ni’lin meet in the fields outside the village to pray. This Friday, more than 50 soldiers and
some jeeps were in the surrounding area during the ceremony.

Extreme violence from the Israeli army in Ni’lin
On Thursday, the 14th of August, peaceful protesters from the village of Ni’lin, who’s lands are being annexed by the construction of Israel’s apartheid wall, were met by extreme violence by the occupation forces.

A 13 year old child is kidnapped from Ni’lin, while 5 others are injured during protest
On Wednesday August the 13th 2008 a thirteen year old boy was kidnapped by Israeli soldiers and has reported that he was beaten. He was held for six hours before being released. Also, an epileptic shepherd from the West Bank village of Ni’lin told international activists that he was beaten up by Israeli soldiers when he attempted to take his sheep to his fields near his home at 9am.

At 11 am on Monday August the 11th approximately 200 Palestinians, Israeli and international activists marched towards the construction site of the illegal apartheid wall in the West Bank village of Ni’lin.
